More than 1300 attend Science and Nature Conference

The 15th annual Science and Nature Conference was recently held at Southwest Minnesota State University. Over 1300 kindergarten through eighth grade students, parents, and teachers from schools throughout the region had an opportunity to hear keynote speaker, Abby Fenton, share stories and pictures from her recent Will Steger expedition to Canada's Baffin Island. Students then participated in three hands-on classes learning about topics such as recycling, wind and solar energy, animals, archeology, crime scene investigation, cryogenics, astronomy, chemistry and robotics.
