Culinary Competitors Show What's Cookin'












Approximately 220 high school students from around the region participated in the annual Culinary Skills Challenge held at SMSU on April 8. Food industry experts acted as the judges and competition designers for the event. Students had the opportunity to compete in a variety of events including cooking, baking, cake decorating, food art, garnishing, place setting, and menu design. Students not busy competing were able to take part in interactive breakout sessions led by experts in cake decorating, nutrition, food science, food art, as well as many others areas.
