Career Development Conference

Register now for the for the Career Development and Work-Based Learning Conference taking place October 5, 2010 at the Redwood Falls Community Center in Redwood Falls, MN.

The conference will feature Curtis Richards, the current Director of the Center for Workforce Development at the Institute for Educational Leadership in Washington D.C. Richards serves as the lead technical assistance provider for the National Collaborative on Workforce & Disability for Youth. His keynote address, "Transition Comes of Age" will discuss the "Guideposts for Success", which were identified by the NCWD/Youth to assist all youth to navigate the road to work, further education and independent living. He will discuss nationwide efforts to organize around these "Guideposts" and the means for blending and braiding resources across systems to foster effective youth transition.

TARGET AUDIENCE: Work-based learning coordinators, career course instructors, special education teachers, career and technical educators, guidance counselors and agency professionals who provide career guidance and work-based learning experiences to youth.

Early Bird Registration by September 20, 2010 is $20.00 and Final Registration by September 27, 2010 is $35.00

Conference registration includes breakfast, lunch and 5 CEUs.
