College Credit/ Articulation Meetings

The Southern Minnesota Articulated College Credit Project is a cooperative effort of 8 Carl Perkins Consortia and 17 college campuses across southern Minnesota. The project is intended to provide high school students the opportunity to earn college credit for classes they take in high school. These credits are earned at no cost to the school district or student and can be redeemed at several post-secondary campuses upon admission to the school. Certificates are reviewed biennially to ensure the established competencies are agreeable to both secondary and post-secondary instructors.

This year the following certificates will be reviewed:
October 28- Web Programming I and Intro to Programming
November 4- Child Development, Family & Community Development & Basic Cooking Principles
November 18- Basic Sales Techniques, Intro to Business, Principles of Marketing, and Entrepreneurship
December 2- Introduction to Engineering, Parametric Design, AutoCAD, and Digital Electronic

The Minnesota West Carl Perkins consortium will pay transportation and sub fees for the first 3 teachers who indicate an interest for each meeting.
