Introducing students to new concepts starts with introducing their teachers. On June 9, the Minnesota West Carl Perkins Consortium provided a staff development workshop on “Green Building Science” for eleven high school teachers. The workshop was taught by John Dahle, Carpentry Instructor at Minnesota West Community and Technical College, and focused on sustainable construction and building performance. Attendees received instructional supplies, curriculum, and equipment to be used to teach a unit on sustainable construction emphasizing energy audits.
