Culinary Skills Challenge

The Culinary Skills Challenge is an annual event where high school students can showcase their artistic and scientific creations through hands-on competitions and seminars. Competitors can participate in seven food-related categories while students in the Culinary Competition are vying for Scholarships of $2000, $1000, or $500 to Southwest Minnesota State University's Culinology program.

Students may also participate in various hands-on activities demonstrated by food industry professionals. This year's Interactive Session Topics will include: Basic Barbeque Grilling, Fondant, Table Scapes, Culinary Careers, Pork Tacos, Sushi, and a tour and demonstration of Southwest Minnesota State's Culinology program.
