For students to be more career and college ready,
educational leaders must start working together. That was the message shared January 15 at Southwest
Minnesota State University during the last of six Pathways to Postsecondary
regional leadership summits. Minnesota
State Colleges and Universities and Department of Education staff have been
traveling around the state promoting an ongoing dialogue between secondary and
postsecondary leaders. Their message
challenged school leaders to think of all students and consider the labor
market trends that will dictate the types of jobs that will be available. Upcoming
webinars and more extensive meetings will keep the conversations moving as
leaders decide the best course of action to ensure student success.
