Students attending the annual Culinary Skills Challenge will be competing in a variety of culinary events as well as attending hands-on breakout sessions.  Competitions will include Baking Science, Cake Decorating, Menu Design, Placesetting, Knife Skills, Food Art and Cooking.  Winners of the Cooking competitions will receive scholarships from SMSU's Culinology program.
Students may also participate in various hands-on activities demonstrated by food industry professionals. Scheduled Interactive Session Topics will include: Petite Appetizers, Cake Decrating with Fondant, Physiology of Taste, demonstrations from the MN Pork Board, a tour of SMSU and the Culinology program, Food Styling, and Food Science.
