Project Search Transition High School

After a successful first year for the Project Search Transition High School, the program is well into its second year.  Project Search serves students who are 18 years of age and have met the academic requirements for graduation, but still have transition needs according to their IEP’s.  The class of 2015 has students from Marshall, Edgerton, Montevideo, Jackson County Central, Lakeview, and Westbrook-Walnut Grove.  Classes continue to be held at our host site, Avera Regional Medical Center in Marshall.  When students are not in the classroom, they are hard at work at one of the 10 possible internship positions in programs like Human Resources, Physical Therapy, Materials Distribution, and Primary Care.  Each student has the opportunity to participate in 3 internship rotations throughout the course of the school year.
