If you work with young people who are looking for great career training, consider Job Corps! Job Corps is a free residential career training program for 16-25 year olds. Job Corps offers young people the opportunity to live, train and learn at one of 124 different centers in fields like health care, construction and office administration. In addition, students can finish their GED or High School Diploma while learning their trade. They even offer driver’s license classes. With low staff to student ratio (1:2), students get the personalized training and service they need. The program is self-paced so students have the chance to work at a pace that is comfortable for them. All amenities are included in the program including nutritious meals, a health and wellness department with doctors, nurses and dentists, recreation activities and laundry facilities. And when students complete their training, they receive 21 months of placement services including help with finding a job, going on to further education or securing housing and other resources.
