Technical Skill Assessments

Technical Skill Assessments provide teachers, administrators, and policymakers with valid and reliable information about student achievement.  The exams improve program quality, create strong connections between high school and college programs, and communicate to employers the value of career and technical education programs in preparing students to enter the workforce.  If you are interested in giving your students any of the 189 available exams, please contact your consortium coordinator.  Funding to cover the costs may be available.

  • Exams are available in all National Career Clusters
  • Instant detailed reporting
  • 100% online exam delivery
  • Standards-level detail to help program improvement
  • Pre and post-testing to measure student academic growth.

In Minnesota, Precision Exams is currently providing students with opportunities in either career or post-secondary endeavors by partnering with local employers and colleges to endorse the skills that the certifications represent and offer benefits such as preferred interview status, paid internships, and college credit.

Colleges that have programs either using certification assessments or offering college credit include:
Anoka-Ramsey Community College
Anoka Technical College
Central Lakes Community College
Hennepin Technical College
Northwest Technical College
Ridgewater College
Rochester Community & Technical College
And many more are coming on board every year!

Teachers and schools also use the reporting system for program efficacy data, student growth data, and content review
