Area Business Educators attended their annual meeting on December 2 at the SW/WC Service Cooperative. Topics included: Using SMARTboards in the Business Classroom, Junior Achievement's Finance Park and Titan Business Challenge, Let's Get to Business Curriculum, Tech Prep College Credits, Program Approval, and Business Professionals of America.
Jean Kyle, Program Specialist from the Minnesota Department of Education, shared information about the changes to licensing requirements and the CTE permissive levy. Those interested in learning more about the CTE Permissive Levy in their district may do so by looking at the following link: http://education.state.mn.us/MFRSystem/index.do Select the school district, the Report Category, and then Levy Limitation and Certification . The CTE portion of the report should be on page 6 or 7.
