High schools will be required to provide CPR Training for grades 7-12

In 2012, Governor Mark Dayton signed the CPR Training in Schools bill (HF 2329/SF 1908) into law. Minnesota students between grades 7 and 12 will receive hands-on CPR training at least once before they graduate. The bill will be implemented for the 2014-15 school year.

Minnesota West's EMS department can help with this education.  If you are looking for resources, they have instructors throughout southwest Minnesota.  Contact Serena Totzke-Johnson, EMS Program Coordinator, Minnesota West Community & Technical College- Jackson,  507-847-7959 or Serena.Totzke-Johnson@mnwest.edu.
